As the Davidson – World ORT Science Summer School nears its conclusion at the Weizmann Institute of Science, it’s clear that it’s proven to be a potentially life changing experience for the 20 students fortunate enough – and clever enough – to be selected.
Without exception, the teenagers from Latin America, Europe, Former Soviet Union and Israel have been finding the three-week residential programme the experience of lifetime, pursuing university-level research at one of the world’s most prestigious centres of learning.
Their yearning for learning is being satisfied, for sure, but it’s also clear that long-term friendships are being made as well as a deep connection with Israel.
