Mr. G. who is Mr. O.’s brother, sent an e-mail from Haifa to Tijuana to our Rabbi Eli asking him to see O.’s wife R.  and Mr. O. at the hospital Oasis del Hope also known as Novo located in Playas de Tijuana.

Rabbi Eli Bari is the standing Rabbi of Tijuana, who is the one Rabbi of the Centro Social Israelita de Baja California, A. C., a Jewish independent community organization, with our own building facilities in an accesible central location in Tijuana, servicing all Jews that       live, come or work in Tijuana, Rosarito, Ensenada, Tecate, Mexicali and all surrounding areas both socially and religiously.

Immediately, Rabbi Eli went to the hospital in Playas de Tijuana, a half an hour drive each way, one of several places offering alternative medicine treatments in Tijuana.

Rabbi Eli began giving them both spiritual and physical help for ther needs.                       Spiritual by reading with them the Tehilim of David and having Mr. O. put on T´filim.            He also atended, as well as he could, their physical needs by going to see them frequently and bringing them the Glatt Kosher foods made at the Restaurant in the Centro Social, paying special attention to the meals of Shabbat.

Several weeks went by with Rabbi Eli making the half hour drive each way to the                   hospital in Playas.

The Friday before new year, Mrs. R. took a turn for the worse and had to use  the          ´´artificial breather´´.                                                                                                                                             And on Monday, January 1st. 2018, at 4:00 A. M. Mrs. R. returned her soul to Hashem.

These Jewish people coming from Haifa had never before set foot in Tijuana.

The community of the Centro Social took it upon themselves the task of carrying out the Jewish religious rites necessary at this time until the proper papers were obtained to help all return including the husband, a 16-year old daughter and a 23-year old son trough the U. S.         from Tijuana to Haifa.

One of the members of the Centro Social drove them back to San Diego.                                 Of course, there was no charge from the community as it was a Mitzvah.

The Centro Social Israelita serves as an OASIS for all Jews that arrive in Tijuana, both religious and non-religious and from every walk of life or from any country.

May the Centro Social, with its meager means, continue to thrive with the needed             help of Hashem.
