Time and time again, one of the California universities tries and eventually passes a resolution against based on lies propagated by Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP), usually assisted by Jewish Voice for Peace, a firmly antisemitic Jewish organization. Most recently, UCLA students agreed to pass such a resolution calling for UC schools to "divest from war" and by doing so, they were also helping the BDS movement against Israel.

In my opinion, this new resolution is being used primarily to advance the usual propaganda of BDS against Israel. By the creation of the new subject matter, they attempt to obscure the rationale of the previous lies and distortions.

Often, the Universities have appropriately declared that they are not going to divest from Israel. Nevertheless, the most recent and absurd lie circulating, especially by University students, is that of "ethnic cleansing" accusing Israelis of doing it to the Westbankers and Gazans. This lie is not only cruel and ludicrous, but it also contradicts factual data showing evidence that the population of Westbankers and Gazans continue to increase exponentially in numbers.

I firmly believe that universities must ensure that those students promoting such vicious lies take reality courses on current, unbiased international relations along with courses related to Middle East history as well as the Holocaust. Hopefully, this can promote reflection among such students and help them regain a value of truth.

The University of California Irvine student government passed a BDS bill condemning as an ‘Apartheid State' while it denies its' link to Judaism. See link below:
