Un enérgico evento se llevó a cabo gracias a los esfuerzos del programa de liderazgo juvenil de B’nai B’rith South Florida, liderado por Joshua Strauss, un estudiante de último año de preparatoria. Con el apoyo de la iniciativa B’nai B’rith Connect, “Amplificando las Voces de los Estudiantes Judíos”, este programa impactante cautivo a más de 459 estudiantes de preparatoria y a cerca de 130 adultos durante tres días increíbles.
Tuvimos el honor de contar con la participación de Shabbos Kestenbaum, graduado de la Escuela de Divinidad de Harvard y colaborador de medios y demandante principal contra la Universidad de Harvard, Shabbos compartió valientemente sus experiencias con el antisemitismo y el sentimiento anti-Israel en el campus, inspirando a los futuros líderes a mantenerse firmes y orgullosos de su herencia.
La importancia de este evento radica en preparar a los estudiantes que están a punto de comenzar su trayectoria universitaria. Los estudiantes estuvieron profundamente interesados en lo que Shabbot ofrecía y plantearon preguntas perspicaces que los iluminaron sobre la nueva realidad que estamos viviendo.

Empowering Jewish Student Voices
A powerful event unfolded thanks to the efforts of the youth leadership program in B’nai B’rith South Florida, led by Joshua Strauss, a dedicated high school senior. Supported by the B’nai B’rith Connect initiative, Amplifying Jewish Student Voices, this impactful program reached over 459 high school students and about 130 adults over three incredible days.
We were honored to have B’nai B’rith Impact Fellow & Connect Leader Shabbos Kestenbaum @shabboskest, a Harvard Divinity School grad and Media contributor, as a speaker. As a lead plaintiff against Harvard University, Shabbos courageously shared his experiences with anti-Semitism and anti-Israel sentiment on campus, inspiring future leaders to stand strong and stay proud of their heritage.
The significance of this event lies in preparing students who are about to begin their college journey. They need to be aware of the challenges they may face and learn how to navigate various situations effectively. It is crucial for them to understand the presence of antisemitism on college campuses, stay informed about current realities, and uphold their Jewish identity and traditions. The students were deeply engaged by what Shabbos offered and asked insightful questions that opened their eyes to the new reality we are experiencing.
