We now have our own studio theater in the heart of the theater district. It is a work in progress. We can seat 40 people, and we hope to make it a cultural center that provides continuous programming in theater, poetry, performance art, and music.

On Saturday night, as you know, we will perform Chanoch Levin’s brilliant play The Whore From Ohio. We are presenting his work so that audiences can appreciate what an important impact he has had on Israeli culture. Whatever our views we are a part of that culture, and it touches Jews everywhere, just as the culture of the diaspora touchess Jews everywhere.

So buy a ticket, enjoy Eli Rosen’s beautiful translation. This is a compelling, thought provoking play, and by doing it in Yiddish we are sending this message to the Ministry of Culture:
