Tom Brady, the franchise quarterback for the New England Patriots, has been under the spotlight recently between the Super Bowl and the allegations of purposefully deflating footballs during their AFC finals game against the Colts.
Yet, one of the most surprising items to be found in Brady’s house during a recent interview with the New York Times magazine was a menorah.
Mark Leibovich was profiling Brady ahead of the Super Bowl at the football star’s new mansion in Brookline, Mass, about 20 minutes outside of Boston, when he spotted a menorah sitting on a table in the guest house, where Brady’s supermodel wife Giselle plans to hold her photo shoots.
When asked about the large glass menorah, Brady responded, “We’re not Jewish. But I think we’re into everything…. I don’t know what I believe. I think there’s a belief system, I’m just not sure what it is.”
Though Tom Brady claims he is not Jewish, he does have close family and friends who follow the Jewish religion. Brother in law Kevin Youkilis and Patriots owner Robert Kraft are both of the Jewish faith and were both cheering Brady on when faced, and defeated, the Seahawks Sunday night in Glendale, AZ.
