It takes years to finally adopt a resolution opposing the demonizing of Israel and antisemitism. In this case, it is about the definition as accepted and proposed by the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance ( IHRA).
On the other hand, it takes no time for Jew-haters to “spoil’ the gains.
Typically far left groups such as J Street, J Voice for Peace , Ifnotnow, lead in refusing to accept this definition and so encourage States and Federal government not to use it. Of course, these groups never find anything wrong with the West Bankers and Gazians; there denial is blindnes at its worse.
This demonization of Israel and anti-Semitism is demonstrated in the continuous harassment of Jewish students on campus. Much of this is perpetrated by the Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP) in collusion with the organizations above.
To make matters worse, there is now a far-left Israeli party that agrees with the International Criminal Courts (ICC) that Israeli defense forces be criminally tried. How absurd! They have always attempted, while firing in self-defense, to aim only at non-populated areas, very much in contrast to the “poor Palestinians”. Monies extended in charity to the latter have been used to pay assassins of Americans and Israeli Jews.
