Shalom,
It is our pleasure to announce that we are now accepting nominations for the
American Hebrew Academy Honor Society. The Honor Society was introduced to recognize Jewish eighth and ninth grade students, from across the globe, who have demonstrated excellence in academics, leadership, service to community and character.
The entire nomination, including the adult recommendation and student application forms can and should be completed online by visiting: www.AHAHonorSociety.org. We hope that you will give at least one deserving student from your community the opportunity to be recognized in this special way by nominating them. We encourage you to share this information with adults in your community so they too will have a chance to acknowledge a student for their hard work and achievements.
The American Hebrew Academy will accept nominations through December 3rd. The newest class of Honor Society members will be selected by January 1st. Each inductee into the Honor Society will have the unique opportunity to be eligible for the following:
- One of five (5) renewable $20,000 annual merit-based scholarships to attend the American Hebrew Academy (While students are encouraged to consider the Academy for their high school career, it is not a requirement for membership in the Honor Society)
- Be featured in local, national and international publications
- Receive an award certificate designed by world-renowned Jewish artist Mordechai Rosenstein
- Network with Honor Society students from around the world
- Cite the honor on applications and resumes
If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact me. Thank you in advance for all of your efforts on behalf of those 8th and 9th grade students in your community.
Sincerely,
Mark Spielman
Director of Honor Society
