My son, Richard Bloom, is running for Assembly in your area. Of course, I’m proud of him and want you to vote for him, but there are reasons beyond a mother’s pride.
Ever since Richard graduated from Fairfax High and then law school, he has wanted to help people. I’d like to think he was inspired by my late husband and I to give back to the community. We co-founded the Etta Israel Center, a home for developmentally disabled children, and Richard has followed suit and fought as Santa Monica Mayor to help provide services for seniors, the disabled and the homeless.
Sure, I’m biased. But I’ve never minced words and his 13-year track record is clear.
As Mayor, Richard has worked for more funding for public education, improved Santa Monica’s economy and reduced the police response time.
So, please consider giving Richard your support. It will make his mother happy, and will put a very good person in the Assembly.
