Not your usual summer Yiddish language and culture program

Dear Friends,

Just wanted to let folks know that I will be teaching the ADVANCED CLASS

in the 1st week, starting Mon. June 7, of the YAAANA 2-week summer intensive.

Monday-Thursday, 8-9:30 a.m. PDT (11 a.m. EDT, 4 p.m. in the U.K., 5 p.m. in most of Europe, 6 p.m. in Israel). The second week will be taught by the incomparable Yiddish actor Rafael Goldwaser. The course will focus on autobiographies.

To see the full program press here. The program includes a special YIDDISH THEATER PACKAGE option.

COURSE DESCRIPTION: There is nothing more dramatic than the life of an individual. We will read autobiographical writings, choosing from the memoirs of both male and female memoirists such as Yekhezkl Kotik, Shmerke Kaczerginski, Gina Medem, Kadye Molodowsky Puah Rakovski, Meylekh Ravitsh and others, ranging from the mid-nineteenth century to the present. Grammar to be studied will be drawn from these writings.
