Letters to the editor
Shame on you…New York Times! The letter you permitted to be printed is untruthful slander created for the sole intention of inciting hatred, anger, and anti-Semitism, as explained below.
The NY Times ran an editorial from a woman named Shehadeh who is comparing the 2001/2002 years’ events in the West Bank and Gaza to the current Coronavirus pandemic. It is not only my opinion, but also upon comparing factual data, there are no similarities!
At that time, the Israelis ordered a curfew for “Palestinians” so that they could not have free rein at killing Jews/Israelis.
Via suicide bombers. most of the murders were done in order for the families of the “martyrs” to be compensated by the terrorist organizarions for killing Jews. Barbaric in itself, is it not?
It seems that Shahadeh forgets that during 2002, the Palestinian Intifada was raging…..buses in Israel were exploding, innocent people were killed by the bombs, and restaurants were being terrorized such as in the bombing of the busy Sbarro Pizzeria in Jerusalem.
My wife and I visited Israel that summer of 2002, as we do almost every summer. However, that specific year the hotels were almost vacant. We recall hearing a bomb explode just 2 blocks from where we were staying in Jerusalem. The Friday prior to our departure back to the United States, we learned of a knifing of a person dining at a restaurant located on the usually very vibrant Tayelet at the Tel Aviv beach. It was beyond frightening to hear this especially since we had just dined there the night prior.
In 2001 alone, there were 8 terrorist attacks. Below are some examples of these atrocities that transpired in 2001:
June 1, 2001 “Palestinians” attack with bombs a discotheque in Tel Aviv killing 15 teenagers.
December 2, 2001: terrorists blow up a bus in Haifa, killing 15 people
Year 2002: 7 terrorist attacks by the same mentally sick individuals
2002 March 2 : the worst yet, 45 people were murdered. This started the building of a security barrier build June 16, 2002.
Jan 5, 2003 : 23 more Israeli civilians are killed.
Oct 2nd, 2004: Israel makes a terrible mistake by ordering the Jews to leave behind their homes and productive nurseries in Gaza. Thus, leaving the terrorist a free-hand to continue killing Israelis with no buffer zone in-between.
The murders continue until 2005: with “only” 5 terrorist attacks.
I hope that these examples of murderous acts listed above will incite anti-Semitic writers of the NY Times to change their tune. NY Times needs to educate both its owners and staff.
Hundreds of innocent people have been murdered by Palestinian groups of terrorists.
