Out of a sense of deep national responsibility – Benny Gantz, Yair Lapid and Moshe Ya’alon decided on the creation of a unified list which will serve as Israel’s new party of government. The party will put forward a new leadership team which will guarantee the security of Israel and will reunite the divided elements of Israeli society.
They have agreed upon a rotation for the position of Prime Minister with Benny Gantz serving first and Yair Lapid replacing him after two and a half years. Out of a sense of the significance of this moment and out of national duty, former Chief of Staff Gabi Ashkenazi has joined the new party.
The leaders will deliver a statement to the press later today.
