Glimpses of a Unique Jewish Culture From a Japanese Perspective
Please join us for a webinar celebrating the publication of Prof. Yoshiji Hirose's new book, a collection of essays on the works of Jewish authors.
Professor Hirose shares his profound interest in acclaimed writers from Howard Jacobson to Michael Chabon and, in particular, how their work is connected to the Yiddish language, Yiddish culture, and the Holocaust.
His unique perspective into a world so different from his own also reveals how these writers are received in Japan.
