Javier Bardem fue nominado a “Mejor Actor “por su papel en la cinta del Director Mexicano Alejandro González Iñárritu, que también compite en la categoría de Mejor Película Extranjera.
Natalie Portman fue nominada como “Mejor Actríz” por la película “Black Swan” Cisne Negro.
Jesse Adam Eisenberg fue también nominado a “Mejor Actor” por la película The Social Network, por su papel como el creador de Facebook Mark Zuckerberg. Su familia es judía originaria de Polonia y Ucrania.
Aaron Sorkin también judío fue nominado como mejor guionista por la película Social Network y su Director David Fincher.
Darren Aronofsky fue nominado como “Mejor Director” por la película “Black Swan” Cisne Negro.
Hailee Steinfeld fue nominada como mejor actriz de reparto por la película “True Grit”.
James Franco, el cual su madre en judía, tambien está nominado para “Mejor Actor” por su papel en “127 Hours.”
Y los hermanos Joel y Ethan Coen también fueron nominados como mejor director por la misma película True Grit.
